Artist Bio:My debut in art began years ago when, with a growing family, I needed to do something interesting and constructive for myself. Art is an outlet where you can immerse yourself in a project and usually come out with something visually appealing to you. Working in different mediums is a challenge and getting results you are satisfied with is also a challenge. Being a member of the Battlefords' Art Club is a great experience. You become part of a warm, caring and talented family who take you under their wing and give you help and advice when needed. We critique each others works and, with varied levels of experience, this helps so much. I paint for my own pleasure and look forward to Tuesdays at the Don Ross Centre where we gather together each week for fun – painting!!

Artist Bio:Until I reached SENIOR status, I had no time to reach out to the things that called to me. I started off teaching embroidery to groups of women, but soon found that the time commitment kept me away from my own interests. Some of my friends 'dragged' me to the dark side – quilting – and I was hooked. Today, for me, it is the transformation of the ordinary to the extraordinary that keeps me moving on. I am a textile artist. I have exhibited nationally and internationally plus I donate 'art quilts' for mental health groups and the humane society. My daughter had a lived experience of mental health issues and I thank God daily for the workers who found a stabilizing treatment. She is very talented and from a four-year-old could draw anything she would look at. She drew the shape and I did the painting on this birdhouse. We hope someone enjoys our joint effort on the house we painted.
It’s painted to match Brett’s limited edition Robert Graham shirt and looks to be done in acrylic.
